The acting managing director of Nzoia Sugar, Michael Kulundu, has died following an abduction earlier this year, family members confirmed.
Kulundu was reported missing in March 2019 before being found in a trench hours later, according to initial reports. He sustained severe injuries during the incident, including a head scar, dislocated shoulder, and multiple lacerations on his hands, chest, and lower limbs, as noted by a medical officer at the time.
After being discovered, Kulundu received treatment at Bungoma West Private Hospital in Kanduyi before being transferred to Agha Khan Hospital in Kisumu for further care.
