ODM leader Raila Odinga has categorically dismissed claims that the opposition party is defunct, emphasizing continued collaboration with President Uhuru Kenyatta to address national challenges. During a Kikuyu-language broadcast on Kameme FM, he asserted that aligning with Kenyatta was aimed at national interests following a turbulent election period.

Raila reiterated that 2022 political dynamics were not part of the nine-point agenda discussed during the March 9th handshake between opposition and ruling party leaders. He highlighted combating corruption as a non-negotiable priority, noting President Kenyatta's direct engagement with the issue.
