July 31, 2019, marks a significant milestone for Infinix Mobility, a company known for its presence in the smartphone industry. However, little was known about their wearables until 2016, when they launched the Infinix X-Band, a wristband rather than a smartwatch.
Fast forward to the present, and Infinix has introduced a new smartwatch that has already made its way into the Pakistani market. Dubbed the Infinix Smart Watch, this device is a far cry from its predecessor, boasting a range of features that justify its smartwatch tag.
The Infinix Smart Watch, model number XW01, is available in Pakistan for a price of Rs 2,999, which translates to approximately Kshs 2,000. This affordable price tag belies the device's impressive specifications, which include Heart Rate, Blood Pressure, Blood Oxygen, and Sleep Monitoring sensors.
Additionally, the Infinix Smart Watch supports Call Reminder, Rejection, and Phone Messages when connected to a smartphone, features an Alarm Clock, and is compatible with Android 4.4 and above, iOS 9.0 and above, and Bluetooth 4.0 and above. The device also comes with a range of apps, including Facebook and Twitter.
One of the standout features of the Infinix Smart Watch is its IP67 rating for water and dust resistance. This means that users can dive as deep as 1.5 meters and stay underwater for up to 30 minutes without worrying about damaging their device.
Other notable features of the Infinix Smart Watch include the Raise Arm Bright Screen, which brightens the screen when users raise their arm to check notifications or the time, and the ability to control music, remotely access the camera, and check the weather.
Powering the Infinix Smart Watch is a 170mAh battery unit, which takes 2 hours to fill up and lasts up to 7 days when in use or up to 20 days on standby. The device features a 1.3-inch screen and is powered by a Swiss nRf52832 processor.
Although the Infinix XW01 is not yet available on Infinix Mall Kenya, it is expected to arrive soon.
