Joe Muchiri has publicly expressed his sorrow over the arrest of his cousin Joseph Irungu, known as Jowie, who remains in custody as a suspect in the murder of businesswoman Monica Kimani.

Irungu, previously described as a socialite, was detained months before the 2017 incident that led to the death of Kimani. Muchiri shared a social media post featuring a 2017 photograph of the pair with friends, highlighting their past camaraderie.

During court hearings, Muchiri was seen supporting Irungu, one of the few family members present during the suspect's appearances. The case remains unresolved, with Irungu continuing to await trial.

Recent court sessions showed Jacque Maribe, another defendant, in a red dress with styled hair, while Irungu appeared physically improved after medical treatment. Both face charges related to Kimani's killing.
