On July 31, 2019, news broke out that Romy Jons, the brother of Tanzanian musician Diamond Platnumz, and his wife Kay Jord were expecting their first child after two years of marriage.
According to a video that surfaced on Tuesday, a heavily pregnant Mrs. Jons was ushered into her husband's album listening party at Mlimani City in Dar es Salaam.
Ms. Jord had kept the pregnancy a secret, as she rarely shared photos on her social media platforms.
As seen in the video, Romy Jons and his wife Kay Jord were overjoyed at the news of their upcoming addition.
Just weeks before, Diamond Platnumz had gone public with the pregnancy of his girlfriend Tanasha Donna.
"Siku ya leo ningependa nizungumze rasmi kuwa natarajia mtoto, Mpenzi wangu Tanasha Donna amebeba mimba. Ningependa niwekee wazi maana tulikuwa tunafichaficha ila sio vizuri. Tunatarajia kupata mtoto na tuna miezi saba, so imebakia miezi kama miwili hivi kabla ya familia yetu kuongezeka Kijana Mwingine ambaye tunaamini pia atakuwa maarufu," said Diamond Platnumz.
Romy Jons, who doubles up as Diamond's official DJ and WCB Vice president, had walked down the aisle in an exquisite wedding ceremony back in 2017.
His invite-only wedding was attended by heavy weights in the Entertainment Industry and a few government officials.
The WCB management showered the DJ with lots of gifts, ranging from money, houses, trips, and household items.
Mama Dangote (Romy's mother) congratulated her son for settling down with a plot worth 80 million (Tanzanian money).
The WCB CEO, Nasseb Abdul, offered to buy Romy and his newly wedded wife a house worth 100 million (Tanzanian Money), which is almost Sh5 million Kenyan money.
