Published on July 31, 2019, a song by Kenyan group Sailors, Wamlambez, became an international hit.

Two words from the song, Wamlambez and Wamnyonyez, quickly spread on social media and started a viral trend.

Popular US actor Jamie Foxx has now joined the trend after being spotted busking in the US.

During a conversation with Kenyan designer Mama Foli, Foxx was instructed to say Wamlambez and then Wamnyonyez, which he did with a huge smile.

He even shared that he had learned a few more Swahili words and referred to Kenyan ladies as Warembo Wa Kenya.

This is not the first time a foreign celebrity has joined the Wamlambez trend. Earlier, US musician Christina Milian was encouraged by Kenyan rugby maestro Biko Adema to shout out the words Wamlambez and Wamnyonyez, which she did with ease.
