David Owour, head of Repentance and Holiness Ministries, is accused of manipulating Jayne Muthoni, a former lawyer, into relinquishing control of her assets, leaving her financially destitute. Muthoni reportedly abandoned her legal career in 2019 to join Owour's ministry, after which she lost her memory, severed family ties, and transferred property ownership to the church.

Owour is alleged to collect over Ksh 10 million monthly from Muthoni’s Dove Court Apartments, located on Riverside Drive in Westlands. The properties, valued at millions, are now under his control, according to family members who discovered Muthoni living in poverty despite her former wealth.

Family members stated that Owour occupies a lavish home in Westlands, which they claim belongs to their sister. The Kenyan Daily Post reported that Muthoni’s relatives made these allegations, though the ministry has not publicly addressed the claims.
