Kinangop Man Found Dead in River as Police Investigate Murder

A man from Njabini town in Kinangop was discovered dead near a local river on Tuesday night, according to official statements. The victim, who worked at a carwash, was last seen with friends heading home in the evening before his body was located near the Midlands company area.

Kinangop OCPD Jane Munywoki confirmed the death constituted murder and stated an inquest has been initiated. "Given his prominence in the community, we urge anyone with information about the incident to come forward," she said.

In a separate development, Naivasha police are pursuing a retired chief suspected of stabbing a friend during a dispute at a lakeside club. The investigation into that incident is ongoing.
