Suba South Member of Parliament John Mbadi, chairman of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), has called on President Uhuru Kenyatta to replace several Cabinet Secretaries deemed ineffective or involved in corruption scandals. The remarks come days after the president dismissed former Sports, Culture and Heritage CS Rashid Echesa.

Mbadi specifically criticized Lands Cabinet Secretary Farida Karoney, stating her ministry faces significant operational challenges. "There are various socialites in the Cabinet who are not performing. Nothing is moving in Farida Karoney's Ministry," he said during an interview.

Treasury CS Henry Rotich and Water CS Simon Chelugui face corruption-related charges linked to the Arror and Kimwarer dams scandal. The allegations have intensified calls for accountability within the administration.
