Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira has been handed a three-match ban following the Football Association's rejection of the club's appeal over his red card during a north London derby.
Subbed on at halftime, Torreira was shown a red card in stoppage time after a sliding challenge that saw his studs catch Danny Rose. The incident occurred during the 1-1 draw at Wembley, where Hugo Lloris saved a last-minute penalty from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Harry Kane had earlier equalized for Tottenham after a controversial penalty decision.
Torreira will miss the upcoming matches against Manchester United on Sunday, Newcastle on April 1, and Everton on April 7. The suspension applies only to domestic fixtures, allowing him to feature in Arsenal's Europa League clash against Rennes in France.
Striker Alex Lacazette also faces a ban after receiving a red card in a previous European game.
