Mercy Wanyama Makes History as First Kenyan Woman to Join Spanish Basketball League

Mercy Wanyama, sister of Kenyan footballers Victor Wanyama and McDonald Mariga, has secured a professional contract with Spanish second-tier basketball side Adba Aviles, becoming the first Kenyan woman to compete in Spain's professional league.

The deal, reportedly performance-based, comes with six games remaining in the season. Wanyama is poised to make her debut against Avril this Saturday, marking a milestone in Kenyan basketball history.
