Kylie Jenner has been recognized by Forbes as the youngest self-made billionaire in history, surpassing Mark Zuckerberg's 2008 record when he reached $1 billion at age 23.

The 21-year-old entrepreneur built her $1 billion net worth through Kylie Cosmetics, a makeup brand launched in 2015 that now holds an estimated $900 million valuation. Forbes' annual billionaire list confirmed her achievement on March 6, 2019.

Jenner credited her social media influence for the company's rapid growth, stating, "It's the power of social media. I had such a strong reach before I was able to start anything." She emphasized her dedication, adding, "I work really hard" as she envisions continued expansion of her business.

Zuckerberg, who founded Facebook in 2004, remains the eighth-richest person globally with a $62.3 billion fortune. Jenner's success makes her the first member of her celebrity family to reach the billion-dollar milestone.

Her mother, Kris Jenner, hinted at potential future sales of the company, while only two of Jenner's sisters publicly celebrated her achievement. Kendall Jenner expressed support on social media, and Kim Kardashian tweeted her pride.
