Investigators from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have seized documents from a property tied to the ministry of 'Prophet' David Owuor, following allegations of a Sh1.5 billion financial discrepancy involving a church and a lawyer's family.
A source involved in the investigation confirmed that officers from Kabete Police Station, led by DCIO Francis Wanjau, conducted a raid on Tuesday afternoon. The operation resulted in the temporary seizure of an apartment pending further inquiry, according to the source.
"The investigation has commenced, and we will take appropriate action if any legal violations are confirmed," the source stated. The probe follows accusations from the family of lawyer Ms. Jane Njagi, who alleged that Owuor's church subjected their sibling to coercive influence tactics.
