Published on July 31, 2019, Akothee Safaris CEO Akothee has sparked controversy with her stance on hiring graduates at her company.
According to Akothee, most graduates have high expectations but lack the skills to meet their targets, making them a liability to her business.
She claims that many graduates are more interested in having an office to 'slay' in rather than working hard to deliver results.
'I'm on the lookout for employees who can deliver, not just those with high scores on paper,' Akothee said, highlighting her preference for experienced staff.
She revealed that she stopped reading CVs from graduates after realizing that many of them were unable to translate their academic achievements into practical skills.
'I've employed over 20 graduates who had to be released within the first month due to their inability to deliver,' Akothee said, expressing her concerns as a parent.
