Nyandarua Governor Francis Kimemia, chair of the Central Kenya Economic Bloc, outlined plans for potato processing facilities serving Nakuru, Nyandarua, and Meru counties. He also highlighted dairy and horticultural processing ventures aimed at boosting regional trade, alongside mineral industry development in Embu, Tharaka Nithi, Meru, and Nakuru.
Kimemia noted opportunities for meat processing in Laikipia, Tharaka Nithi, Nakuru, and Meru, while stressing the need for tailored strategies for coffee and tea production clusters in Nyeri, Kiambu, Murang’a, and Kirinyaga. The proposals underscored efforts to create viable investment opportunities through regional economic integration.
