South African preacher Alpha Lukau has admitted to orchestrating a controversial resurrection demonstration at his Alleluia International Ministries church, disclosing the man in the coffin was never dead.

Lukau addressed his congregation following the release of a video showing a man emerging from a coffin, stating in an interview with Power FM's Thabiso Tema that the incident involved a misrepresentation of facts. 'The coffin began shaking before church entry, indicating the person was alive,' he explained.

The pastor described the event as a disruption during his Sunday sermon, emphasizing his role as a spiritual leader. 'We are the house of God, but I regret we failed to communicate the truth initially,' he said, acknowledging the scandal surrounding the staged miracle.

Eyewitness News reported Lukau's assertion that miracles transcend conventional understanding, noting his apology for the confusion caused by the unverified claims about the man's death.
