A Citizen TV production team was targeted in a theft during the Kirinyaga devolution conference, with multiple broadcasting devices and financial assets reportedly stolen.
Reports indicate the perpetrators accessed a station vehicle through a broken window, making off with MacBook laptops, PXW cameras, branded microphones, cash, cables, and hard drives. Some of the seized equipment belonged to the network's sister station Inooro TV, as confirmed by lead journalist Stephen Letoo.
A social media post from Letoo included a photograph showing the vehicle's damaged window and listed stolen items. The message, dated March 4, 2019, specified losses affecting both Citizen TV and Inooro TV operations.
