Kenyan musician Chris Kantai passed away following a two-day hospitalization, with funeral arrangements set for Friday. His family has requested donations to cover funeral expenses through account number 8913000, linked to his name.
Buddha Blaze, a close associate, confirmed that friends and collaborators would gather at Gracia Garden to finalize funeral plans and music tribute arrangements. "The family is requesting support from 10:00 PM onwards. Kantai had a large following and his music was widely appreciated," Blaze stated.
Kantai, who died at 40, had been hospitalized at St. Francis Hospital in Kasarani. His final public appearance was in 2016 during a collaboration with Khaligraph. He began his music career in 2005, with STL producer noting his last visit to the studio before his death.
The musician's legacy includes collaborations with STL and a career spanning over a decade. His passing follows a prolonged health struggle, with reports indicating he had been battling illness prior to hospitalization.
