Wambugu cited ongoing graft allegations, including claims of illegal land acquisition and alleged receipt of looted public funds, as key reasons for the political isolation. He noted that only four Mount Kenya region MPs attended Ruto's Lenten Campaign Launch event at the Catholic Archdiocese of Nyeri on Saturday.
