Sauti Sol member Bien addressed public accusations that the group fails to support emerging artists, countering with evidence of their recent label launch and signing of vocalist Bensoul.
The dispute originated from 2018 when Kenyan musicians criticized the band for not prioritizing local content, according to archived reports. Bien challenged critics to explain their inaction as Bensoul's new single gained traction without their endorsement.
"Why haven't the same voices promoting local music spoken about Bensoul's hit or the Sol Generation project?" Bien questioned. "This industry needs unity, not personal agendas. We should resolve conflicts privately instead of undermining colleagues publicly."
The artist urged stakeholders to focus on collaborative growth rather than divisive tactics, emphasizing that constructive criticism should align with industry advancement rather than individual gain.
