July 31, 2019 - Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz has been at the center of a controversy after a video surfaced showing him looking disoriented, sparking allegations that he is on drugs.
However, his manager, Babu Tale, has come out to deny the claims, stating that the singer is not on drugs but is rather fatigued due to his overworking nature.
Tale explained that Diamond is always busy and rarely gets to rest, which is why he sometimes appears out of touch.
“Diamond Platnumz Hapumziki Kabisa, Tunatafakari Kumtafutia Daktari wake mwenyewe tu, Aangalie Afya yake maana anajiover dose na kazi,” Tale said.
He added that Diamond needs a personal doctor to examine him and address his fatigue, which is caused by his high workload.
Tale also fired shots at fellow artist Harmonize, questioning whether he has let it go to his head whenever he is compared to his boss.
“Harmonize atashindana vipi na Diamond Platnumz wakati Kazi zake zote ni lazima Zipitie kwa Diamond. Kabla hajaachia wimbo uongozi ni lazima upitishe kwanza na Mkataba wa WCB haumkatazi msanii kuondoka,” Tale said.
