Kenyan authorities intercepted a Nigerian national attempting to smuggle narcotics through Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on Monday. The 25-year-old woman was found concealing 77 pellets of suspected heroin in plastic bottles containing milk, with an additional 15 pellets discovered during surveillance.

According to a statement from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the suspect was detained as she prepared to board a flight to Italy. Investigators continue to examine the case as part of ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking at the airport.

In 2018, Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) officers intercepted a separate narcotics shipment disguised as vitamin tablets. The consignment included 26 cartridges of cannabis oil and five grams of hashish, declared as candy through a courier service. The package was discovered during routine cargo inspections and tested positive for controlled substances.
