Centum Investment’s security division, Tribus TSG, has established a partnership to employ 300 National Youth Service (NYS) graduates annually through a memorandum of understanding. The agreement, signed in 2019, outlines NYS’s responsibility for recruiting and vetting candidates, including processing police clearance certificates for selected applicants.
Tribus TSG will deploy graduates across sectors such as NGOs, real estate, education, and hospitality. The initiative covers nine job categories, including safety and security, soft services like hygiene technicians, and hard services such as electrical workers. Additional roles span ICT, catering, entertainment, and construction.
Centum CEO James Mworia emphasized the collaboration’s alignment with Kenya’s economic goals, stating, "Through this MOU we will work closely with the National Youth Service to ensure that the opportunities created for these graduates aid in achieving the country’s economic agenda."
The agreement supports the government’s Big Four policy on employment. Tribus TSG, a 2017-founded subsidiary of Centum Investment Plc, provides security management, facility management, and customer-facing services. Its current leadership includes James Nicholl, who joined in 2017 after military and corporate experience.
