Luke Perry, known for his role in 'Beverly Hills, 90210' and 'Riverdale,' has died at 52 after a stroke.
Perry's publicist confirmed he passed away surrounded by loved ones, including family members and friends.
He gained fame as Fred Andrews on 'Riverdale' and as a cast member of 'Beverly Hills, 90210' from 1990 to 2000.
Paramedics responded to Perry's Sherman Oaks home earlier this week, leading to his hospitalization in Los Angeles while filming 'Riverdale' at Warner Bros.
Family members, including his children, fiancée, ex-wife, and siblings, were by his side at the time of his death, according to publicist Arnold Robinson.
Robinson stated the family appreciates global support and requests privacy during their mourning.
No further details have been released by the family at this time.
Perry, a native of Ohio, also starred in films including '8 Seconds' and 'The Fifth Element.' A reboot of 'Beverly Hills, 90210' was announced, though his participation remains unclear.
His most recent role was as Archie's father on 'Riverdale,' based on the Archie comics.
