Davis & Shirtliff (D&S), an energy and water solutions provider, has established four new regional offices in Githurai, Marsabit, Nyeri, and Kitale as part of its strategy to expand service coverage across Kenya by 70% before year-end 2019.

The company, which currently operates 41 branches in 26 counties, aims to achieve full national coverage within three years. This expansion follows increased market demand driven by devolution policies, according to CEO David Gatende.

"Devolution has had a dramatic and positive effect on the lives of Kenyans," Gatende stated. "Its impact extends beyond the public sector, requiring private companies to adapt our operations to meet local needs." He emphasized the firm's mission to improve livelihoods through water and energy solutions across Africa.

D&S cited unmet regional demand for technical expertise and infrastructure as a key driver for its expansion. The company is also forging partnerships, including with German clean energy firm SMA Solar Technology, while diversifying into irrigation products to create new revenue streams.
