Kenyan authorities detained a Nigerian national at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on March 4, 2019, after discovering narcotics concealed in milk-filled plastic bottles.
Princess Okoye, 25, was intercepted while preparing to board a flight to Italy. Police reported she had 77 suspected drug pellets in her possession, with an additional 15 pellets later expelled after she swallowed them.
A previous arrest in November 2018 involved a Tanzanian man who concealed narcotics in his rectum and later expelled 69 pellets. That case occurred months before Okoye's arrest, highlighting ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking at the airport.
Okoye remains in custody as investigators examine the case. The Kenya Police Directorate of Criminal Investigations confirmed the arrest through a social media post detailing the operation.
