Journalists from Citizen TV reported being robbed of equipment and personal items while covering the 6th Devolution Conference in Kirinyaga County on March 4, 2019.

Stephen Letoo, a political reporter with Royal Media Services, confirmed the theft via social media. His team lost cash, MacBook laptops, a PXW camera, branded microphones, bags, cables, and hard drives during the incident.

The theft occurred when assailants broke into a double-cabin vehicle belonging to Royal Media Services. The crew was having lunch in Kutus at the time, according to reports. Police have launched an investigation into the matter.

The five-day conference, which began on March 4, 2019, brought together representatives from national and county governments, as well as stakeholders from all 47 Kenyan counties.
