Kenyan rapper Chris Kantai, known for hits like 'Huu Ni Nani G' and 'Issues,' will be laid to rest this Friday following his death at St Francis Hospital in Kasarani last week. The 40-year-old artist succumbed to acute peptic ulcers.

Friends and family will gather at Gracia Garden on Monday at 5 p.m. to finalize tribute events and a music program ahead of the funeral. A paybill number 8913000 under the account name 'Kantai' has been opened for donations.

Former rapper Buddha Blaze confirmed the arrangements, stating, 'His family is seeking your support. Here we are again an artiste like Kantai who had so many hits in Kenya and has nothing to show for it.' The tribute will include a music program featuring Kantai's catalog, including his 2016 collaboration with Khaligraph Jones, 'Ting Badi Malo.'

Female rapper STL expressed regret for not reconnecting with Kantai during her recent visit to Kenya. She recalled his early support, noting he was the only rapper who believed in her when she began her career in 2005, despite her inability to rap in Swahili sheng at the time.
