On July 31, 2019, a bizarre live TV ceremony took place during the Good Morning show in Kenya.
Elizabeth Hoad, a woman who had been engaged four times before, appeared on the show dressed in bridal attire, ready to marry her dog, a golden retriever named Logan.
Logan, dressed in a black coat and tiny hat, was the perfect groom, and the ceremony was officiated by Alison Hamond.
As is customary in any marriage ceremony, there was an audience present, and all attendants were dressed to impress.
Elizabeth carefully slid a bracelet onto her 'husband's' paw as an alternative to a wedding ring, and after exchanging vows and rings, the couple sealed the deal with a light kiss.
When asked about her decision to marry her dog, Elizabeth said, "I was broken before I got him. I got a dog behaviourist when I first got him and she said he would save me."
