The senator linked the corruption to 2022 political dynamics, urging investigations into lawmakers from the Rift Valley and Western Kenya, as well as senior officials.
Kipkorir denied allegations his firm was involved in siphoning public funds during the KANU regime, stating his practice began in 2002 after President Daniel arap Moi left power. He called on government agencies to verify his financial records and criticized opponents for deflecting scrutiny by labeling accusers as thieves.
The senator emphasized the need for arrests, convictions, and asset forfeiture in corruption cases. He noted a lack of outrage from elected officials in Elgeyo-Marakwet and Rift Valley regions over the alleged theft, despite his public criticism. Kipkorir reiterated his readiness for a lifestyle audit, urging transparency in ongoing investigations into projects like the National Youth Service and energy sector.
