The group stated Swat and a friend fled police officers at approximately 11 p.m. on March 3, 2019, seeking shelter in an apartment complex. Residents mistaken the pair for intruders, leading to physical altercations. Police later intervened, confirming the individuals' innocence.
"For those spreading videos claiming Swat is a thief, consider: who would steal with a T-shirt bearing their name and wearing crocs?" the statement challenged. Swat sustained injuries but is recovering at home, according to the group.
The musicians emphasized the situation was a miscommunication, urging fans to avoid spreading unverified content. They concluded with a message of resilience: "We’ll BOUNCE BACK."
