Kenya National Rally Champion Baldev Chager claimed his maiden KCB Kenya National Rally Championship (KNRC) leg victory at the Kajiado Rally, outpacing Manvir Baryan by 1 minute 38 seconds in the second round of the 2019 series.

Driving his Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 10, Chager accumulated maximum points after finishing third in the initial Nakuru round. His co-driver Ravi Soni praised the team's performance, noting they were fastest in all but one of the five stages. Soni highlighted recent successes, including last year's Mombasa Rally and the Nakuru Classic Event.

Baryan, who recently won the 2019 African Rally Championship in Cote d'Ivoire, placed second. Reigning National Champion Carl Tundo struggled, finishing third after trailing both competitors, despite securing second in Nakuru.

Chager now leads the 2019 KNRC standings with 43 points, while Tundo remains in second with 39. Several drivers, including Aakif Virani and Nikhil Sachania, retired due to mechanical failures, with Raaji Bharij also failing to finish after a transmission issue.

The third KNRC round will take place in Eldoret on April 6-7 under the Western Kenya Motor Club. Final race times included Chager at 90 minutes 44 seconds, Baryan at 91 minutes 16 seconds, and Tundo at 91 minutes 44 seconds.
