Kenyan rally driver Baldev Singh, co-driven by Ravi Soni, won the KCB Kajiado Rally on March 3, 2019, capturing the Kenya National Rally Championship (KNRC) lead with a commanding performance.
The pair completed the five-stage event in 1 hour, 30 minutes, and 44 seconds, finishing 36 seconds ahead of defending champions Manvir Baryan and Drew Sturrock. Singh's Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 10 R4 dominated four stages, maintaining an unchallenged lead throughout the competition.
KCB Bank Kenya Kajiado Branch Manager praised the event's organization, noting the growing prominence of motorsports in the country. "The drivers showcased exceptional skill, and the rally series has reached new levels of professionalism," he stated.
Defending champion Carl Tundo finished third, acknowledging Singh's superior performance. With this win, Singh moved to 43 points in the KNRC standings, surpassing Tundo's 39 points.
The event, flagged off by Kajiado County Governor Joseph Ole Lenku, saw 13 drivers retire due to mechanical failures. The next KNRC round will take place in Eldoret in April 2019.
