Soul-reggae artist Anto Neosoul returned to Nairobi's The Alchemist Bar for the second edition of his 'Anto Live' series on March 2, 2019, collaborating with Hennessy under the theme "Never Stop. Never Settle." The event showcased his band's blend of smooth soul, reggae, and African music, alongside a platform for creative professionals to express themselves freely.
Anto premiered the music video for his track "Closer," produced by Tanzanian artist Nahreel and directed by Mombasa-based filmmaker Mac Choka. The concert also featured special appearances by reggae vocalist Lucy Lugano, Afro-pop artist Yviona Reign, and four-time Grammy winner Owour Arunga, who joined Anto on stage.
"I curate these experiences as a constant reminder that art evolves, that I evolve but the standard or presenting this art should only get better," Anto stated. Hennessy Eastern Africa Market Manager Alexandre Helaine emphasized the brand's alignment with the event, saying, "Combining music and cognac is in the DNA of Hennessy."
