CNN's Richard Quest Explores Kenya's Business Scene ¶
Richard Quest, a celebrated CNN news anchor, is in Kenya to cover a series of business stories, including the inaugural Kenya Airways direct flight from Nairobi to New York on October 28, 2018.
Quest, who hosts the CNN International program 'Quest Means Business,' will be reporting live from Kenya for the first time.
On his first day in Kenya, Quest wrote about his experience at Nairobi's airport, describing the light as 'gorgeous' and the staff as 'excellent and determined to help.'
He also visited Karura Forest, a park that rivals New York's Central Park, London's Hyde Park, or Sydney's botanic gardens, and was impressed by its pristine condition and the sense of pride that Kenyans have taken in it.
Quest has a long history with CNN, having begun his journalistic career with the BBC and later moving to New York City to work for the network's international business news division.
However, Quest has also faced personal challenges, including a 2008 arrest for possession of crystal methamphetamine in New York City's Central Park.
He has since spoken publicly about his struggles with addiction and his journey towards recovery.
Quest has also been open about his sexual orientation, revealing in 2014 that he is gay.
