On July 26-28, 2019, a man who went viral on social media after being spotted in Kenya, with a striking resemblance to Jesus Christ, was identified as Michael Job, an American actor and evangelist.
Job, who has acted in films like 'The Life of Jesus,' was in Kenya as one of the preachers at the Kiserian Mega Interdenominational crusade. His photos, which showed him walking and dancing on the streets of Kiserian, Kajiado County, immediately started trending on Twitter, with many Kenyans claiming to have spotted Jesus Christ.
However, it was later determined that Job's dress style was nothing new, as he has preached several times over the years dressed like Jesus, as portrayed in movies. His appearance sparked a mix of reactions, with some accusing him of falsely claiming to be Jesus, while others defended him, saying he was simply spreading the message of Jesus.
Job wrote on social media, 'Tonight's last night of the Kiserian crusade was awesome! God's Spirit came upon all of us. People surrendered their lives to Jesus, many people were healed, and God's Spirit came upon us powerfully in worship.'
