When it comes to dating, millionaire men are known to be picky about what they want in a partner. According to Business Insider's month-long series, 'Dating Like a Millionaire,' five elite matchmakers shared what men look for in a partner. These matchmakers work with clients from royals and celebrities to entrepreneurs and CEOs, who have net worths ranging from the low millions into the billions.
Published on July 30, 2019, the series revealed that rich men are very particular about what they want in a partner. Janis Spindel of Janis Spindel Serious Matchmaking Inc. explained that men are visual creatures and seek attraction. 'First and foremost [men] need beauty and if they are not attracted, it's a moot point and not evolving to date two,' Amy Andersen of Linx Dating in San Francisco told Business Insider.
Andersen added that men look for the four Bs: beauty, body, brains, and balance. Half of that equation lies in visual appearance. The same is true for men seeking men, who want a hot man and a fit body, according to Carly Spindel. Men also seek intelligence in a partner, as it signals that they can teach them something, Carly said.
According to April Davis of Luma Search in New York City, men look for attraction as it signals 'healthy,' and healthy people can reproduce. Mairead Molloy of Berkeley International in London seconded this, saying that her male clients want someone who is well-educated and smart.
Ultimately, men want the whole package, including independence, happiness, and social awareness. As Janis Spindel put it, 'With money, your brain thinks differently. They call the shots, they want the whole package.' Men also need a woman who can hold her own socially, being a good representative of their brand.
