President Uhuru Kenyatta is set to embark on a visit to Jamaica next week, where he will engage in bilateral talks with Prime Minister The Most Honourable Andrew Holnes, at the latter's invitation.
The two leaders will discuss and explore opportunities for enhanced bilateral relations between Kenya and Jamaica, building on their previous meeting at the G7 Summit in Quebec, Canada, in June last year.
During their talks, they will also explore code share for Kenya Airways to connect to Kingston, which is just 3 hours from New York, where the airline operates direct flights.
President Kenyatta has emphasized the importance of unity among African, Caribbean, and Pacific nations, saying, “We must strive to speak in one voice. We are weaker when splintered.”
The leaders will also discuss culture and entertainment as a bedrock for promoting tourism between the two countries.
