On July 30, 2019, Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu was released on a cash bail of Ksh. 15 Million.
Waititu was arraigned before Justice Lawrence Mugambi, who also imposed conditions for his release.
These conditions included a ban on accessing Kiambu County offices or witnesses, as well as depositing his passports and other travelling documents to the court.
Waititu's wife, Susan Wangari, was released on a cash bail of Ksh 5 Million, while other county officers were released on a cash bail of Ksh 1 Million each.
The case will be mentioned on August 26.
