On July 30, 2019, the funeral arrangement committee for Bomet Governor Joyce Laboso announced the burial date for the late governor.
The committee, comprising of the family and government representatives, had been set up immediately after her death. Energy Cabinet Secretary Charles Keter chairs the committee.
The first funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2019, in Nairobi at the All Saints Cathedral.
Her body will then be flown to Bomet county for an overnight vigil in the afternoon.
On Friday, July 26, 2019, a requiem mass will be held at the Bomet Green Stadium before her body is transferred to Kisumu.
Dr. Laboso will be laid to rest on Saturday at her matrimonial home in Fort Tenan, Koru, Kisumu county.
