On the eve of the peak season, low-cost carrier Jambojet has announced plans to increase its flight frequency to Mombasa, Ukunda (Diani), and Malindi. This move aims to cater to the surge in passenger demand during the August peak season.

According to Jambojet CEO Allan Kilavuka, the airline will operate 48 weekly flights to Mombasa, up from the current 40 flights. Additionally, Ukunda and Malindi will see an increase in flights, with three more weekly flights added to their schedules, making them twice-daily destinations.

Mr. Kilavuka emphasized the significance of the peak season, stating, 'August is peak season, which means increased numbers of passengers are flying out to our various coastal destinations. We are responding to our customers’ demands.'

As part of its commitment to safety and reliability, Jambojet has achieved IOSA registration, becoming Kenya’s only low-cost airline to do so. This registration demonstrates the airline’s adherence to international safety standards.

With over 2.5 million passengers flown since its inception in 2014, Jambojet continues to cater to the growing demand for air travel in Kenya. The airline’s focus on convenience, safety, and reliability has earned it a loyal customer base, with first-time flyers accounting for about 30% of its customers.
