July 30, 2019: Singer Madini Classics has come out to reveal that comedian Eric Omondi conned him after promising to help elevate his music career.
According to Madini, Eric Omondi approached him with a sweet deal during the #Playke campaign, promising to sign him and support him as an artiste.
However, after receiving Ksh 60,000 meant for a 'presidential motorcade' to be used in the making of Madini Classic's Assumpta video, Eric Omondi disappeared and failed to deliver on his promises.
Madini narrated how Eric Omondi quoted 60K for the 'presidential motorcade', which included hiring high flying SUV cars and motorbikes, and a famous dancer, Angie, to feature in the video.
After shooting the video, Eric Omondi went silent, and Madini's management terminated his contract, viewing him as a liar and deceitful person.
Eric Omondi has responded, stating that he was unable to push Madini's brand due to his extensive travel schedule, but promised to work on it when he returns to Nairobi.
