On July 30, 2019, a devastating plane crash occurred in a residential area, claiming the lives of 15 people.

According to rescue spokesman Farooq Butt, 10 civilians and 5 crew members were among the dead, with a further 12 people injured.

The wreckage of the plane, bearing army markings, was seen smoldering alongside two small buildings as rescue workers and military personnel cordoned off the area.
