Kenyan gospel singer Esther Wahome is mourning the loss of her father, Evangelist William Wahome Gikonyo, who succumbed to cancer on Saturday, July 27th, 2019.
Ms. Wahome shared the news on her official Facebook page, expressing her grief and gratitude for her father's unwavering support.
"Yesterday, July 27, you were transferred to heaven immediately after I talked to you and held you for the last time and you handed over a different mantle to me," Ms. Wahome wrote, reflecting on her father's selflessness and faith.
Evangelist Gikonyo had been battling cancer since the beginning of 2019, but never complained, instead inspiring his daughter with his unwavering trust in God.
