On July 29, 2019, Puma announced a new long-term partnership with Pep Guardiola, the manager of English Premier League champions Manchester City.

Guardiola's new role as a brand ambassador will see him endorse Puma products both on and off the pitch, while also advising the company on the development of new clothing and shoe innovations.

The partnership is a significant move for Puma, which signed a strategic partnership with Manchester City in February 2019, taking over from Nike.

As part of the deal, Puma aims to make up for the loss of Arsenal to German rival Adidas.
