On July 29, 2019, a tragic accident occurred at Ntulele along Narok-Maai Mahiu road, claiming the lives of two people.
A Toyota Spacio vehicle, which was heading towards Narok town, lost control and rammed into a parked tractor, killing the two occupants instantly.
According to Aden Yunis, the area County Police Commandant, the accident occurred around 2pm, and the vehicle was believed to have been over speeding.
Mr. Yunis stated, "It was around 2pm when the vehicle which is believed to have over speeding hit the tractor from behind killing the two occupants instantly."
The bodies of the two deceased were ferried to Narok County Referral Hospital mortuary, while the wreckage of the vehicle was towed to Ntulele Police station yard.
Investigation into the cause of the accident revealed that the vehicle might have been on high speed, with Mr. Yunis warning motorists against over speeding along the road, which he described as a black spot.
"Those driving along the stretch should be extra careful against driving on high speed because it kills," said the County Police boss.
