On July 29, 2019, a shocking incident occurred at the Egyptian home of Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny.

According to reports, the body of a man was found at the villa in Mahalla al-Kubra, a city approximately 100 kilometers north of Cairo.

The deceased was identified as an individual attempting to steal electrical cables, who tragically lost his life due to electrocution.

The house in question was a new property recently handed over by the Elneny family to a charity to be used as an office.

Mohamed Elneny, who had returned to Arsenal after participating in the Africa Cup of Nations with Egypt, was informed of the incident over the phone.
