On July 29, 2019, Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp admitted that any Premier League opponents watching his team in Scotland would think it's an 'easy job' to beat them.
However, Klopp warned that his team will be a completely 'different animal' when the Premier League campaign gets underway for real.
The Reds boss made these comments after a 3-0 drubbing at the hands of Napoli, a team they beat twice last season.
Lorenzo Insigne was instrumental in Napoli's victory, scoring one goal and setting up two more for Arek Milik and Amin Younes.
Klopp complained about the goals his team gave away, saying they were 'too easy' and sloppy.
He emphasized the need for his team to 'fight at the start of the season 100 per cent with all we have.'
Despite the defeat, Klopp is not hitting the panic button yet, attributing the loss to his team's intense training schedule, which left them heavy-legged against a fresh Napoli side.
He praised the performance of new signing Harvey Elliott, who showed his audacious talent at the tender age of 16 with some nice touches at the end of the game.
Teenager Ki Jana Hoever also impressed with a cheeky backheel, while Harry Wilson brought a fine save from the Napoli keeper with a typical piledriver.
