Published on July 29, 2019, a viral sensation swept through Kiserian, Kajiado county, as a man bearing a striking resemblance to Jesus Christ was spotted in the area.
The man, later identified as Mike Job, an American preacher, was in the county for an invited crusade.
He was seen riding in a convoy of cars, waving at the people as the car moved slowly down the dusty streets of Kiserian.
Some residents even took photos with him, further fueling the excitement.
Reactions from Kenyans on social media included comments such as 'Finally! Christ Begins His First-Ever African Tour In Kenya' and 'I thought I have seen it all, not until I saw this one o, Jesus attend a church in Kenya.'
However, one user clarified that the man was not claiming to be Jesus, but rather an American preacher invited for a crusade.
As the news spread, a Twitter user joked, 'Jesus going back to heaven after a long ass day in Kenya??'.
