Published on July 29, 2019, Manchester United's pursuit of Bruno Fernandes has been ongoing, with the midfielder reportedly set to undergo a medical for the Red Devils.

Bruno Fernandes, a 24-year-old Portugal international, was left emotional after being substituted in Sporting Lisbon's friendly match against Valencia. The midfielder, who has been linked with a £56m move to Manchester United, was seen weeping on the bench before applauding the crowd.

Manchester United are keen to seal a move for Fernandes, who scored 33 goals across all competitions last season. However, the club has yet to agree a fee with Sporting Lisbon.

United are also linked with other transfer targets, including £81m-rated Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio and £80m Harry Maguire from Leicester City.

Manchester United will face Norwegian side Kristiansund in Oslo on July 30 and AC Milan on August 3 before their Premier League opener against Chelsea at Old Trafford on August 11.
